 Our Captain Thumb Tac has vast experience fishing the areas of Southern Port Phillip Bay, second to none & our Bay fishing trips generally have great catches of different species on most occasions such as Snapper, Gummy sharks, Flathead, Salmon, Squid and various Reef Fish..

Kestrel IIl, a 42ft Lacco purposely built for fishing charters, was built out of Huon Pine in Rosebud in 1969 and was the original Sorrento Fishing Charter Boat. It has been lovingly restored by local Ferryman Warren Neale and is celebrating its return to service offering Bay fishing trips with Rip Charters.

All rods, reels, bait and tackle supplied.  Fish will be cleaned, filleted and bagged for your convenience, ready to cook up on the BBQ.

INDIVIDUAL BOOKINGS ABOARD KESTREL III
Individuals can be small groups joining other small groups to make up charter numbers.

5 Hr Trip $80 per head Adults - $60 per head Children 12 and under
6 Hr Trip $95 per head Adults - $75 per head Children 12 and under

PRIVATE CHARTERS ABOARD KESTREL III
Classed as a private charter, group charters offer exclusive use of the vessel and the customer's choice of duration, targeted species and catering options.

5 Hr Trip - $1280  16 Passengers
(additional passengers $80 per head to a maximum of 24)

6 Hr Trip - $1520  16 Passengers
(additional passengers $95 per head to a maximum of 24) 

8 Hr Trip - $2080 16 Passengers                                                                                  (additional passengers $130 per head to a maximum of 24)

RESERVATION POLICY
Payments:

- For Individual or small group bookings payment is required in full using a credit card.
- For Private charters a 30% deposit is required to make a reservation when booking using credit card, bank transfer or cheque.
- Final payment on the day either credit card or cash.
- Bookings are fully transferable and can be rescheduled with reasonable notice.
- Refunds are not available.

Booking Terms and Conditions:
- You MUST provide a mobile contact number whereby you are reachable either the night before of the morning of your trip.
- Minimum numbers for a trip to proceed are 8 aboard Big Blue and 9 aboard Kestrel lll.  Rip Charters reserves the right to cancel a trip if minimum numbers are not met.
- All cancellations or changes to numbers not given with 14 days notice will be held accountable for total cost.  Prices are subject to change without notice.

Check in Times:
To keep faith with other guests DEPARTURE TIMES FOR ALL TRIPS ARE EXACT.  If you are late, you will have to make another appointment.  Please allow plenty of time for Summer traffic and delays in finding a car park.

Cancelled Trips:
Transfers to another charter date will be issued when a trip is cancelled due to:
a.    Rip Charters skipper regards the weather conditions as unsafe.
b.    Unforseen circumstances outside of Rip Charters contro
