Southern Fishing Report

Bass Strait Area -Kingfish season has started, with good catches out towards Barwon Heads.

The water temp has risen to 20 degrees in Bass Strait. Mako Shark catches have been more regular as well as Thresher Sharks.

Australian Salmon have turned up in the heads, there have been good catches of 1-2kg for some fun on the light gear. Outside the heads last weekend saw good catches of the Big Bass Strait Flatties mixed with Barracuda, Aero Squid and the Prize Gummy Sharks, which are good on the moon phase coming up.

In Southern Port Phillip we have been getting large King George Whiting, Pinky Snapper and Silver Trevalley. All’s Fishing well!
